Why convert to Global
In Chinese version we can’t use any Google services because Chinese version don’t have any Google play services installed, in global version we can use all of Google services.
How to unlock BootloaderÂ
Unlocking Bootloader will Erase all data on device.
First of all go to settings & add Mi Account, Then go to about phone tap 7 times on MIUI Version it’ll enable developer option, Then go to additional settings and open developer option, enable OEM unlocking, and click on mi account status and click on add Account and devices. Note you have to use your mobile data for this not WiFi. Now open your PC, Download “Mi Flash Unlock” tool sign in that mi account you added in mobile. Press volume down button and insert cable in mobile it’ll go to fastboot, now click on unlock, you have to wait 168 hours after this and don’t remove mi account or format your device and don’t use developer option. After 168hours open mi flash unlock tool sign in mi account connect your device in fastboot mode and unlock. You have successfully unlocked bootloader.
How to flash Global ROMÂ
Connect your device in fastboot mode, bootloader should be unlocked before flash open any supported tool like UMT, Unlock Tool, you can also use Mi Flash tool. Select firmware you download and start, wait 5 to 10 mints. Global ROM is now Installed in your device.
